ChopAI Roots is a heritage storytelling service. We collect only what we need to create your story and operate your account. Your stories are private by default.

Account data. When you create an account, we store your email address and secure sign-in information so you can access your stories.

Story intake. The descriptions, discoveries, and details you provide to shape your story are stored so we can produce and deliver it.

Uploaded family materials. Any photographs, documents, or other materials you choose to share are stored to create your story.

Payment data. Payments are handled by PayPal. ChopAI Roots does not collect or store your full card details. We keep a record of a transaction's status so we can fulfill your order.

ChopAI Roots does not require raw DNA data and does not ask you to upload it. You describe what you discovered in your own words. ChopAI Roots does not analyze or interpret medical or health-related DNA information.

ChopAI Roots is independent and is not affiliated with any DNA or genealogy service unless explicitly stated.

Every story is private by default. A story is only featured publicly if you give separate, explicit permission. This promotional consent is distinct from creating your story, and you are never required to give it.

If you choose to let ChopAI Roots feature your story, you may withdraw that consent for future use by contacting us. Consent to feature a story is always optional.

We use your information to create and deliver your story, operate and secure your account, process your orders, and communicate with you about your stories. We do not sell your personal information.

We keep your account and story information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. This is an early-stage service, and we do not guarantee permanent or indefinite storage of any file.
